Travel Hockey
Our Travel Program is a tryout program for 10U through 14U players. We will field multiple teams at each level when participation dictates. Season descriptions will be listed when registration opens in July. These teams play in the Missouri Amateur Ice Hockey Association and require a higher level of travel and commitment than our other programs.
Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
Answer: Appropriate players at least 9 years old who have completed at least one year of previous organized hockey.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Answer: Registration opens in July, with tryouts in August and the season runs until playoffs in February with Championships in March.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Answer: Practices and Games will be held at the First National Bank Arena located in the Decatur Civic Center. Away games will be played across the Missouri area.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Answer: Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Answer: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Answer: Club jerseys are required and may be purchased at registration in our DYHA Pure Hockey online store.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Answer: Expect team managers to collect funds to cover two tournament entry fees and also plan to budget for travel expenses.

Is there financial assistance for families in need of help?

DYHA has closed registration for the 2023-2024 Travel Hockey season!
Tryouts for players born between 2011 and 2012 will be held at the Decatur Civic Center the week of 8/28 - 8/31. Tryouts require DYHA registration and a $50 fee. After tryouts, offers will be sent to all players to join the team they have been selected for.
The total dues for DYHA Travel Hockey will be $1,100 this season. Upon accepting an offer you will have payment plan options available.
